Here's a closer look. The illusion of multiple moons was minimized by the photographer's steady hand. Small red disturbance to right of moon is debris from dysfunctional spy satellite shot down by U.S. Navy before its toxic fuel could endanger all mankind. Thanks, guys.

What's amazing is how you could turn an eclipsing moon into something resembling a tequila-marinated golden worm. As a result, I'm putting a stop to hitting the Delete key on all my unsteady photos.
